Inspired by Italian culture and a love of entertaining family and friends.
Our design for Achellos draws on Italian culture and the joy of gathering around food. The restaurant was designed to accommodate everything from a relaxed lunch to a large family gathering, ensuring flexibility without compromising on atmosphere.
Given the fast-paced nature of hospitality, aesthetics had to be balanced with durability. We chose Carrara marble, unfinished oak and antiqued mirrors to create a look that would age beautifully over time.
Working with limited natural light, a bright, open kitchen pass acts as a focal point, while glass and mirrored partitions reflect light around the space. This ensures each area feels connected, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
One of the most distinctive elements of this project is the flooring.
After careful consideration, we chose to preserve the existing surface, retaining remnants of the venue’s former life as a garage and mechanics shop. Its authenticity and character complement the overall design perfectly, and it has become one of the restaurant’s most memorable features.
